Session 1, Track 7, Slot 1

The Intertwine Alliance has formed a Regional Conservation Strategy (RCS) for the area surrounding Portland, Oregon. The goal of the RCS is to guide the development by providing a high-resolution model of habitat valuation and land cover.

The RCS Viewer allows website visitors to access and visualize high-value habitat and land cover, without specialized GIS knowledge or tools. By selecting, uploading, or drawing an area of interest, the user can bring up a feature-rich summary of habitat valuation and land cover.

This presentation covers some uses of the RCS Viewer of interest to conservation-concerned planners in the area, as well as some technical details of interest to developers.
